Terms of Use

These are the terms you agree to when you install or use Stash. They're written to be readable — if anything's unclear, email us and we'll explain.

1. The agreement

By downloading or using Stash (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't install or use the App.

Stash is published by Define Solutions ("we", "us"). These Terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party to these Terms, but Apple's App Store rules also apply when you install Stash and may grant Apple rights to enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary.

2. Your license to use Stash

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Stash on iPhones you personally own or control, subject to the App Store's Standard EULA and these Terms.

You may not:

3. Acceptable use

Stash is a personal screenshot-organization tool. You agree to use it only with screenshots you have the right to view, organize, and store. You are responsible for the content of your Photos library; Stash does not moderate, review, or otherwise process the content of your screenshots beyond the on-device classification described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and refunds

4.1 Available plans

Stash offers a free tier and optional Pro upgrades:

Current pricing is shown in the App and may be updated over time. Prices are localized by Apple based on your App Store region.

4.2 Auto-renewal

Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

4.3 Free trial

If you start the 14-day free trial on the yearly plan, your subscription begins at no cost. You will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel anytime during the trial in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions to avoid being charged. Stash will send local reminders on day 7 and day 13 of the trial; both can be silenced in Settings → Notifications.

4.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled per Apple's policies — visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a request. We do not have the ability to issue App Store refunds directly. For lifetime purchases, please contact contact@definesolutions.co if Apple declines and you believe a refund is warranted; we'll review case-by-case.

4.5 Lifetime purchase

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the App and its successors on your Apple ID. If we discontinue the App entirely, the lifetime entitlement ends with it. We'll communicate any such change well in advance and, where reasonably possible, offer a path to comparable functionality.

5. Your content stays yours

Stash never claims ownership of, or any license over, the screenshots in your Photos library. All classification, indexing, and search runs on your device. You retain 100% of your rights to your content.

You can wipe every byte of Stash-generated data via Settings → Delete all Stash data inside the App. That removes the local database and classification history immediately; your underlying Photos library is untouched.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Stash available and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every future iOS release, or freedom from bugs. We may add, remove, or change features over time. Material changes that affect what Pro subscribers receive will be announced in-app with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Stash is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Classification is based on machine-learning heuristics and is not guaranteed to be accurate. Stash should not be used as the sole source of truth for legally, financially, or medically significant information found in your screenshots.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Termination

You can stop using Stash anytime by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or to Pro features if you materially breach these Terms (for example, by attempting to bypass payment or circumvent App Store rules). On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (license restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) survive.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections under the law of your country of residence.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms over time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, surface a notice in the App on next launch. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Contact

Questions about these Terms? Email contact@definesolutions.co. For App Store and payment-related issues, please use reportaproblem.apple.com first — Apple handles those directly.

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies to your installation of Stash from the App Store. In case of conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA governs your installation, while these Terms govern your use of the App's features and any subscription you purchase from us.
